Update: We are now open, plan your visit here.
Blacktown Arts temporarily closes its doors.
Blacktown Arts continues to carefully monitor the COVID-19 situation to ensure it provides a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Following recent advice issued by the Australian Government, we have decided to temporarily close The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre to visitors from 20 March 2020 until further notice.
Blacktown Arts are working closely with artists to provide digital alternatives to your favourite public programs. To enable digital alternatives our centre is currently open to artists and creative workers by appointment.
All upcoming public programs at the centre will be postponed throughout the period, including:
- Terra inFirma
- Open studios and workshops
- Dark Passage
- Young Artist Club
- En Plein Air
- Tracks; FBi Radio
- Drawing Gallery; Blacktown Festival
- Kolour Me Kweer
- Fun Park Coalition; Biennale of Sydney
We do not make this decision lightly and believe it to be the best move forward to protect our staff, stakeholders and our community.
Our Blacktown Arts staff is committed to our creative communities and are available over the phone on 9839 6558 to answer any queries and provide support.
You can also stay up to date on the situation by following us on Facebook and Instagram: @BlacktownArts.
