We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Land, the Dharug people, and their continued connection to Country.
We pay our respects to Elders from yesterday to tomorrow.
We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Blacktown City where the flannel flowers still grow proud and strong.
We will walk softly on this land and open our hearts to Country as the Dharug people have for tens of thousands of years.

2021 Young Artist Prize Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winners of the 2021 Young Artists Prize!

This year we celebrated the creativity of local young artists with an environmentally-themed Young Artists Prize. Young people who live or study in Blacktown City,  aged 3 – 15 years were invited to enter artworks that represented this years theme of an Environmentally Friendly City. We asked young artists to think of creative ways to live differently in cities and decrease our environmental impact as the population continues to grow.

The Young Artist Prize exhibition is free and open to the public until 27 January 2022.
The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre will close 5pm 18 December 2021 and will reopen at 10am 11 January 2022.
