We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Land, the Dharug people, and their continued connection to Country.
We pay our respects to Elders from yesterday to tomorrow.
We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Blacktown City where the flannel flowers still grow proud and strong.
We will walk softly on this land and open our hearts to Country as the Dharug people have for tens of thousands of years.

We are exploring new ways of connecting with our community, and ways for our community to connect with each other.
For the first time ever, we are offering complimentary “tweet seats” to an event – the preview performance of Sitaraha – The Stars.
We are looking for members of our community to share honest, real-time responses to Monirah Hashemi’s powerful work.
What you tweet is up to you … If you’re moved by what you’re seeing on stage, you can tweet it. If you’re shocked or surprised by what you’re seeing on stage, you can tweet that too. Or you might want to offer a play-by-play thread for those who can’t attend the show.
You don’t have to be a professional theatre reviewer to be heard. Are you a budding writer? A social activist? A performing artist? Express your interest in a tweet seat by tagging us in a tweet with the hashtag #tweetseats @blacktownarts.
Tweet seats will be located in a reserved row to ensure that live tweeting does not disturb other audience members or the performer. Tweet seats are limited to the preview performance on Thursday 6 September 2018, so get in quickly.
