Close Encounters with the Blacktown City Art Collection | Simryn Gill

Simryn Gill is a Malaysian-Australian artist who is known for her work in photography, video, and using found objects. Her work ‘Pearls’ was created using two of Gough Whitlam’s retyped speeches and is now part of the Blacktown City Art Collection.

Blacktown City Art Collection has over 300 artworks, including paintings, sculptures, works on paper, drawings and site-specific installations. It tells the story of Blacktown, through its people, its histories and its environment.
