Established in 1980, the Blacktown City Art Collection is a collection of artwork acquired by Blacktown City Council for the Blacktown community.

Comprising over 400 artworks across a rich range of mediums, the Collection tells the stories of Blacktown City.

Blacktown Arts and Blacktown City Council is committed to building the Collection by acquiring works that reflect the diversity of creative and cultural practice in Blacktown and Western Sydney.

The Collection continues to grow each year, through acquisitions from the annual Blacktown City Art Prize exhibition and through the Blacktown Arts artistic program and partnerships. Works are displayed throughout Council’s public buildings, libraries and offices, and are regularly on exhibition at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre.
