Join us as we celebrate NAIDOC at Blacktown Showgrounds on Tuesday 10 July from 11 am – 4 pm!
NAIDOC is a special event in Blacktown, which is home to the largest urban Aboriginal population in Australia. It is a day of music, and celebration; a day to remember Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contributions to the wider nation.
NAIDOC Family Day 2018 will feature performances by:
• Emma Donovan
• Glenn Skuthorpe
• Marlene Cummins
• Shanell Dargan
• Sharon Carpenter
• Wagana Dancers
• Minning Minni Kaiwarrine
• Zelden Bell (winner of the 2017 ‘Blakfullas Got Talent, So You Mob Think You Can Dance Idol Competition’)
Young performers from the Blacktown area are invited to showcase their skills and bravely take to the stage to vie for prizes in our talent competition – ‘Blakfullas Got Talent, So You Mob Think You Can Dance Idol Competition’ hosted by Jackson McBain.
There will be face-painting and activities for young people, or browse stalls selling Aboriginal goods including jewellery, clothing and art.
