We support artistic innovation and offers exciting, new experiences for audiences through an award-winning curated program of exhibitions, performances, workshops, residencies and events. Blacktown Arts is committed to exploring dynamic, culturally diverse work that reflects Blacktown, its history and its communities. We place Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and communities at the heart of our program to develop new work drawing on issues of local and global significance.

The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre is an innovative multi-arts hub located in the heart of Blacktown, a short walk from the railway station.

The Blacktown City Art Prize celebrates the creativity of local young people with an environmentally-themed Young Artists Prize.

Please join us for the launch of the Young Artists Prize exhibition featuring artworks by local children and a performance and speech by Sydney Pacifica.

The theme of the Blacktown City Young Artists Prize for 2019 is Repair & Restore, asking young artists to respond to:

Countries around the world have declared that climate change is a real emergency. As our climate becomes hotter, what positive things can we do to cool our homes, cities and natural environments?

This section is open to 5 – 15 year olds who live or go to school in Blacktown City.
