AnSo, an interdisciplinary South Korean artist and performer residing and creating on Gadigal land, blends their Korean culture with contemporary performance in their practice. As a self-described sculptor of sound, AnSo’s works delve into the intricacies of cultural and queer identity through sound, body, and vocal art. Their music lies in the experimental electronic realm, building worlds with field recording manipulations and vocal experimentation. Through dynamic performances, AnSo seeks to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity through experimentation and improvisation. The back-and-forth weave between Korean and English lyrics in their music highlights AnSo’s experience of diaspora and cultural loss.

Alana Searles is a queer movement artist, choreographer and educator whose practice is grounded in playful embodiment, somatics, interconnection and kinship. Collaborative processes are essential to their dance practice and to how they approach movement, which is rooted in relationality. In particular, they have an interest in the exploration of queer temporalities and the subversion of traditional gendered performance roles. Fluidity and transformation guide their practice as they embrace their identity and queerness as central to their movement language. Alana’s creative and performance experience spans both independent collaborations and larger scale productions with the likes of Hermes, Opera Australia, Otherworld Co, MCA, Heaps Gay, Sydney World Pride, and more. They are passionate about fostering a sense of inclusivity within experimental and community run spaces and are excited to reunite in performance and collaboration with AnSo for SUBMERGE.FM.

Western Sydney’s FRIDAY* is the quintessential African popstar.
After the release of his stellar debut EP ‘Darling’ (2023) which catapulted the artist to the eyes and ears of many, the wait for new music has been met with utter keenness. Caught in glimpses on Dylan Atlantis’ single ‘Thought You’d Know By Now’ (2025) or otherwise manning the guitar for fellow Full Circle member Nick Ward, FRIDAY* is consciously ready to show just how precious time has proven to be.
Having displayed undeniable showmanship through performances at BIGSOUND, Laneway Festival, Vivid LIVE and NYE On The Hill, as well as playing support slots for Paris Texas (USA), grentperez and 1300, FRIDAY* is ready to situate himself center stage again, this time, equipped with the sounds that best reflect a trajectory that is written.
