We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Land, the Dharug people, and their continued connection to Country.
We pay our respects to Elders from yesterday to tomorrow.
We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Blacktown City where the flannel flowers still grow proud and strong.
We will walk softly on this land and open our hearts to Country as the Dharug people have for tens of thousands of years.

From The Collection is a temporary public art display on the Max Webber Library windows that features 4 artworks selected from the Blacktown City Art Collection.

Blacktown City Council has been collecting artworks for over 30 years. The Blacktown City Art Collection has become an important source of civic pride and a treasured repository of local knowledge. It maps how social values, cultural perspectives and artistic concerns of the community have changed over time and is a source of inspiration for current and future generations.
