Blacktown City Art Prize

2024 Artwork sales

If you’re an art collector, or just want to brighten the walls at home, the Blacktown City Art Prize offers you the opportunity to discover new artists and artworks. With the exception of the main prize winner, all artworks in the exhibition are for sale.

Conditions of purchase

Payment

  • Artworks will be available for sale from 6 pm on 17 January 2024, after the announcement of the winning artwork at the prize-giving ceremony, which is acquired by Blacktown City Council
  • All purchases must be made in person at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre
  • A minimum 20% non-refundable deposit is required for all artwork purchases
  • Balance of payment must be made within 2 weeks to purchase the artwork. If payment is not made, the deposit is forfeited and the artwork is released for sale
  • Payment can be made with cash, Visa or Mastercard
  • All artworks will be on display at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre from 16 January to 5 April 2024
  • Sales are non-refundable

Collection of artworks

  • Purchased artworks must be collected from The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre (78 Flushcombe Rd, Blacktown) on Saturday 6 or Monday 8 April 2024, 10 am to 5 pm
  • Artworks will be packaged by the Blacktown Arts team
  • If someone is collecting artwork on your behalf, you will need to inform the Blacktown Arts team in advance via

    . You will be required to provide the following information:

– Name of the artwork you have purchased
– Name of person collecting the artwork
– Date and approximate time of collection
– Contact number for the person collecting the artwork
– Statement that you give consent for the artwork to be collected on your behalf

  • If an artwork is damaged during the exhibition, the buyer will be notified before the artwork is released
  • A condition report will be issued if the artwork is over $5000.00 and will be provided when the artwork is collected.

Shipping

Unfortunately, we do not offer shipping of artworks, however you are welcome to arrange a courier to collect an artwork on your behalf.

  • You must pay for your artwork in full before it will be released to a courier
  • The courier must collect the work on Saturday 6 or Monday 8 April 2024, 10 am to 5 pm
  • If you book a courier to collect your artwork, you will need to inform the Blacktown Arts team in advance by completing this form. You will be required to provide the following information:

– Name of the artwork you have purchased
– Name of the courier company collecting the work
– Contact number for the courier company
– Date and approximate time of collection
– Booking number for the collection

  • A condition report will be issued if the artwork is over $5000.00 and will be provided when the artwork is collected
  • Once the artwork is signed out, it becomes the responsibility of the buyer. Please consider insuring your delivery
