We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Land, the Dharug people, and their continued connection to Country.
We pay our respects to Elders from yesterday to tomorrow.
We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Blacktown City where the flannel flowers still grow proud and strong.
We will walk softly on this land and open our hearts to Country as the Dharug people have for tens of thousands of years.

Join us for an afternoon tea with artists Louise Zhang, Jess Bradford and HOSSEI this Saturday 27 July from 1pm to 3pm! Register here

Amplified Part II

Following on from the success of their immersive art installation Amplified, brothers Ernest and Andrew Aaron continued their residency at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre to develop a second iteration of their installation: Amplified Part II.

Ernest and Andrew Aaron have collaborated on creating experimental sound manipulation, sampling and improvisation through digital and analogue technologies. Amplified is a visual and sound recording of places and spaces within Blacktown suburbs to magnify the everyday sights and sounds of the neighbourhood.

Ernest and Andrew Aaron will perform for the second time an improvised soundscape within their immersive multimedia art installation Amplified Part II. Their performance will fuse experimental sound manipulation with percussion and looped instrumentation.

We invite you to join us on Saturday 19 October 1.30 – 3.00 pm for a second new performance by the artists.
The performance is a free event, however bookings are required. Click here to book.

This project was assisted by a grant from Create NSW, an agency of the New South Wales Government. The NSW Artists’ Grant is administered by the National Association of the Visual Arts.Installation
