Term 1 (26 February – 2 April) | Term 2 (7 May – 18 June) | Term 3 (30 July – 10 September)

Throughout 2019, Blacktown Arts will present 3 terms of movement workshops for young people (aged 12-17) and seniors, facilitated by performance artist and martial arts instructor Binh Duy Ta.

These workshops combine traditional methods and philosophies of movement with contemporary performance practices to emphasise creativity, sensitivity, energy and movement.

Physical Performance Workshops for Youth (12 – 17)
Tuesdays | 4 pm – 5 pm

With a background in theatre and martial arts coaching, Binh will guide young participants through new performative techniques that originate from traditional kung-fu and self defence routines. These classes will provide space for creativity and collaboration as traditional techniques merge with contemporary performance.
