Bent Western was a 2008 program at Blacktown Arts Centre that explored Western Sydney’s queer culture. It was an official event of the 30th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival and featured works from a selection of prominent queer artists active in Sydney’s west over the previous 30 years.

“The artists in Bent Western have lived, worked or studied in Western Sydney and made important contributions to queer cultures in the region and beyond. Bent Western demonstrates how art about sexuality always evokes a sense of place.”
