Come dream up something new and bold at our Main Street Studios!

As part of Blacktown City Council’s commitment to providing opportunities for artists to thrive in our City, we are thrilled to announce our call-out for Main Street Studios to commence in 2027.

Our studios are rent-free and available for artists at any stage of their career working across a range of disciplines to apply. With preference given to artists living in Blacktown and western Sydney.

Previous Main Street artists have used the space and time to reflect, create new bodies of work, research different ideas, meet the Blacktown Arts staff programming team, or test out something they have always wanted to, but have not had dedicated time or space.

‘Having access to the studio space was especially valuable; it provided a quiet, focused environment with minimal distractions, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in my practice.’

Jaii Villacorta, 2025 Main Street Studio Artist
