Bio

As a Dharug – Wiradjuri woman, Starphire explores identity and their aboriginal heritage through painting and digital drawing. Combining both styles, they use dot painting and line work techniques to convey how important it is to carry on the artistic tradition. Growing up with a multicultural family has shaped Starphire’s practice and their value for showcasing diversity throughout their work. Their dedication has shown through their participation in exhibitions like ‘Surge’, their work with charities (Prints for Palestine) and educational murals in Sydney Olympic Park

This project is presented by Blacktown Arts and supported by Blacktown City Council.
