We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Land, the Dharug people, and their continued connection to Country.
We pay our respects to Elders from yesterday to tomorrow.
We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Blacktown City where the flannel flowers still grow proud and strong.
We will walk softly on this land and open our hearts to Country as the Dharug people have for tens of thousands of years.

The Blacktown Arts Main Street Studios Residency program supports artistic development for artists at any stage of their career.
We are proud to offer up to 4 studios within the Blacktown CBD and walking distance of Blacktown train and bus station. The studios are in close proximity to Main Street businesses including retail, food and beverage outlets.
Our rent-free studios are available between 3 to 12 month periods. Applications are open to artists at any stage of their career, working across a range of disciplines and artforms, with preference given to artists living in Blacktown and western Sydney.
“Having a dedicated space to work allowed me to fully immerse myself in my art without the usual distractions of home life. The physical separation gave me the mental clarity and space I needed to think deeply, experiment freely, and push my work in new directions.”
– Skye Andrew, 2024 Main Street Studio Artist
