Back by popular demand, Blacktown Arts in collaboration with Sydney Symphony Orchestra presents Emily Who & Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Join children’s singer Emily Who and world-class musicians of Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s string quartet and discover a musical world through an exciting, interactive mystery adventure.
Created especially for kids 5 and under, but fun for kids of all ages and their families, little ears will love discovering the sounds of the violin, viola and cello as they solve a series of fun musical clues in a relaxed and accessible environment.
Free for children 5 years and under.
Tickets for all other attendees are $5 with proceeds going to Symphony for Life Foundation.
Creative Team
Emily McKnight is a Sydney based actor, musician and children’s singer: Emily Who. As Emily Who, she regularly performs at events across Sydney. She has four albums of songs perfect for pre-schoolers.
As well as regularly writing and presenting for Sydney Symphony Orchestra children’s concerts, Emily writes and presents the annual Kur-ring-Gai Orchestra Kids Proms. She developed the children’s web series ‘Musical Pirate Adventures’ with Arcadia Winds which was selected for Sydney Webfest 2022.
As an actor, her theatrical credits include; As You Like It (Sport For Jove), Macbeth (SheShakespeare), TickTickBoom (subtlenuance), Gravity Guts (Company of Rogues), and Poetry in Action. Her television credits include; Jay’s Jungle (Ambience Entertainment) and Black Comedy (ABC). She is also a voice over artist and is the voice of the audio tour at the Hyde Park Barracks Museum, Sydney. Emily is the creator and host of the popular podcast for Actors: An Actor Survives.
Sydney Symphony Orchestra is Australia’s flagship Orchestra, performing up to 150 concerts a year to a combined annual audience of more than 350,000. The orchestra has been resident at the Sydney Opera House since 1973. Over the decades, they have welcomed some of the greatest names in classical music, with landmark performances that have become part of the popular history of Australian culture.
