In April 2010, Urban Theatre Projects presented The Folding Wife at Blacktown Arts Centre.
A physical theatre performance that integrated poetic text and the transcendental visuals of Anino Shadowplay Collective, The Folding Wife unfolded the tales of three generations of Filipina women told through Grace, played by Valerie Berry.
The performance was written by Paschal Daantos Berry, directed by Deborah Pollard and went on to tour Australia with support from Performing Lines for Mobile States.
Anino Shadowplay Collective will return to Blacktown for Balik Bayan, 7 September – 2 November 2017, as part of the Bayanihan Philippines Art Project, in partnership with Art Gallery of NSW, Mosman Art Gallery, Auburn Peacock Gallery, Campbelltown Arts Centre and Museums and Galleries of NSW.
