Blacktown Day + Night
18 August – 31 August
The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre
The heart of Blacktown is alive with entertainment, art and culture this August for Blacktown: Day + Night.
Blacktown City Council presents an exciting program of music, food, live entertainment, art and culture in the Blacktown CBD.
Blacktown Arts is thrilled to present two programs as part of Blacktown Day + Night; Home West, three days of music, performances and interactive activities at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre, plus a two week screen and sound program Gathering Honey, and The Gallery by Solid Ground, spectacular lighting projections along the key corridors of Blacktown City, bringing to life the works of almost 30 First Nations students and emerging artists straight from Vivid Sydney 2022.
Home West is presented in partnership with 107 Projects and FBi Radio.
The Gallery is presented with Solid Ground, Carriageworks and Mandylights and was originally conceptualised and created in partnership with Crown Sydney, and commissioned by Destination NSW for Vivid Sydney 2022.
Gathering Honey originally premiered at, and was co-commissioned by, Australian National Maritime Museum.
