Generations Western Sydney Music Fellowship

Information Session

Calling all western Sydney contemporary musicians!

We are thrilled to announce the first-ever western Sydney focused Generations Fellowship in partnership with Create NSWPowerhouse and Vyva Entertainment.

This Generations Fellowship supports contemporary musicians and their development within the NSW music industry.

3 successful applicants will receive $25,000 in financial support, in-kind support with studio space in Blacktown, with industry mentoring and networking facilitated by Vyva Entertainment.

Who can apply.

Individuals who are:

  • 18 years or above
  • residing in NSW over the last 12 months
  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • living, working or have a strong connection to western Sydney (refer to eligible locations)
  • self-identifies as an early career* contemporary musician, songwriter, music producer, composer
  • unsigned and do not have professional representation across a label, management, publishing or booking agents

A group who are all:

  • 18 years or above
  • residing in NSW over the last 12 months
  • Australian citizens or permanent residents
  • living, working or have a strong connection to western Sydney (refer to eligible locations)
  • self-identifying as early career* contemporary musicians, songwriters, music producers or composers
  • unsigned and do not have professional representation across a label, management, publishing or booking agents

*An early career artist or arts and cultural worker is someone who is at the beginning of their career, has created a modest independent body of work but hasn’t yet established a solid reputation as an artist within their artform.

Locations that are eligible include Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, City of Parramatta, Cumberland, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Penrith, Wollondilly.

Generations Fellowship Information Session

Tuesday 20 February, noon to 1 pm ADST 

Create NSW will be hosting an online information session to provide information, practical advice and tips to aid in navigating the application process for the Generations Fellowship.  

Generations is a fellowship program in partnership with Create NSW, Powerhouse Museum, Blacktown Arts and Vyva Entertainment to support western Sydney contemporary musicians and their development within the NSW music industry. 

This online session is for early-career musicians, producers, DJs, composers and groups interested in applying.
