The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre is an innovative multi-arts hub located in the heart of Blacktown, a short walk from the railway station.
Woven Home | Textile and Weaving Workshops

Blacktown Arts presents a series of textile and weaving workshops facilitated by textile artist Naomi Hamer and community arts facilitator Cali Prince.
In these hands on workshops, participants will learn basic weaving, string, rope and mat making while they share stories about ‘home’ to explore community and connectivity within The Ponds and surrounding areas.
A large woven mat will be developed by Naomi Hamer inspired by the workshop conversations to be presented as part of Magnify in August 2019.
