We support artistic innovation and offers exciting, new experiences for audiences through an award-winning curated program of exhibitions, performances, workshops, residencies and events. Blacktown Arts is committed to exploring dynamic, culturally diverse work that reflects Blacktown, its history and its communities. We place Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and communities at the heart of our program to develop new work drawing on issues of local and global significance.

The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre is an innovative multi-arts hub located in the heart of Blacktown, a short walk from the railway station.

Introduction to Charcoal | Workshop

This workshop will explore drawing techniques with charcoal in a range of scales and tones within a creative environment.

Lead by local artist Kristone Capistrano, artists will learn skills in handling charcoal as a drawing tool.

Kristone is an international prize winning artist with deep insight into drawing techniques.

The 2019 Drawing and Painting Group Workshops have been successfully running since June 2019.
Each workshop is unique and designed in collaboration with the facilitating artist. This is the last workshop for the year in this series.

This workshop is suited for adults of all skill levels.
