Blacktown Shorts 2023
Expressions of Interest

Blacktown Shorts 2023 is a new iteration of Blacktown Shorts, delivered as part of Magnify 2023.

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for short film proposals from emerging and established filmmakers with a focus on supporting western Sydney talents.

The successful applicants will receive up to $5000 ex GST in production funding to support the creation of new short-form works that have a connection to the Blacktown area.

The selected works will premiere at Blacktown Shorts Film Festival as part of Magnify 2023.

APPLICANT INFORMATION

Draft script and/or storyboards

Maximum file size: 20MB

Maximum 3 files. Files must be submitted as Word Doc or PDF file. Maximum 10MB each.

CREATIVE STATEMENT

Your creative statement can be uploaded as a 1 page summary OR a 1-2 minute video describing the idea and the connection to Blacktown. Your video must be uploaded to an external video sharing service (i.e. YouTube or Vimeo) and linked below.

Maximum 1 file. Your file must be submitted as Word Doc or PDF file. Maximum 5MB.

ARTIST CV

Maximum file size: 134.22MB

Maximum 1 file. Your file must be submitted as a Word Doc or PDF file. Maximum 5MB.

BUDGET

Please provide 1 page project budget outlining total Income and Expenditure in PDF, Excel or Word doc only, maximum file size 2MB. Applications without a budget will not be considered.
