Calling all Blacktown artists, artist groups, creatives, community organisations

Got a new project cooking, on the go or brand-new ideas?
You can apply for funding through Blacktown City Creative Arts Fund.

Apply for artistic and creative projects including podcasts, performance, visual arts, music, film, digital arts, multimedia, writing and photography. You can also apply for professional and skill development. An individual or organisation can apply for $2,000 to $5,000 in funding.

Some of the previous projects supported by Blacktown City Creative Arts Fund have included music composition and recording, producing a children’s book, directing and writing short films, web series for children, public art murals and new exhibitions. Personal development may include being mentored by an artist or access to specialised facilities.

The purpose of the Blacktown City Creative Arts Fund is to offer opportunities for creative growth and artistic and cultural development through:

• promoting arts and culture in Blacktown City
• building artistic capacity
• professional development for artists
• skills development through mentorship and training
• providing social and cultural connections between artists and communities
• encourage creative expressions in the community
• creating an independent creative sector that contributes to the economy of our City.
